Truly an investment quality, modern classic, that is a blast to drive and welcome at any car show! his is, without a doubt, a true modern collectible that will make a great investment for the collector, or just an awesome car for a car aficionado that just has to have it and wants to drive and enjoy it. This prowler has basically had 2 owners before the gentleman i bought it from acquired it. He bought it from his friend who was an avid car collector who had owned the car since 2005. It had a little over 8000 miles on it when he got it and he only drove the car on sunny days but enjoyed the heck out of it during the 12 years he owned it putting a little over 10,000 miles on it. He decided he was ready to let it go to the next lucky owner but he did not like the process of selling his cars so he asked a good friend if he would be interested in the car. This guy had owned several prowlers over the years and was thinking he might keep this one so he bought it from his friend. So, he put it on the market and i jumped at the opportunity. I had the prowler picked up by an enclosed transporter and delivered to my showroom here in alpharetta, ga. Several new colors were introduced in the final production year with only 583 produced for the us market in this stunning inca gold metallic color. This color truly sparkles in the sunlight which makes it a little tough to photograph because of the way the sun danced all over the curvy body lines. I did not notice any door dings or other blemishes but to be safe lets assume there might be a few really tiny rocks chips i may have missed. Front and rear mud flaps were installed which are really beneficial in keeping rocks from flying up on this open fender design. The top material is heavy duty canvas and much like the rest of the car looks close to new. The rear glass window has a rear defroster. Leather wrapped steering wheel with a retro look tachometer mounted on the steering column. Gauges are neatly laid out in the center of the dash and a great sounding stereo system with 6 disc cd changer located behind the passenger seat. The 2 front door speakers were just replaced as they commonly failed on these cars. Nice set of matching prowler embroidered floor mats. Super comfortable and ready for a sunny day cruise or nice long trip if desired. The stock power plant of the prowler is the 3. 5l high output sohc 24 valve aluminum v-6. while not the fastest roadster on the road, with 253hp and 265 ft. Lb of torque it still has enough power to get most peoples attention and put a smile on the drivers face from ear to ear. Power rack and pinion steering and vented 4 wheel disc brakes make driving this hot rod a breeze. Independent front and rear stabilizer bars and front and rear coil over shocks make handling a dream and this car handles like it is on rails. Lets not forget the awesome stance thanks to the stock 20" wheels in back and 17's up front. This prowler has the upgraded chrome wheels that look like new and the tires were also replaced and have tons of tread life left. The tire pressure light is on due to one of the tire pressure monitor sensors failing. Bottom line is that with just under 18,500 miles on it this prowler will provide as much fun on the road as the next lucky owner can handle. this prowler comes with both sets of original keys and fobs, original manuals, and the original window sticker. Just a little over 1200 miles put on it since it was completed so it is very fresh and ready to hit the show circuit if desired and even better, ready to be driven and enjoyed by the next lucky owner! I purchased it from a gentleman in texas who had bought it for his wife to drive. When he bought it the truck had about 400 miles on it and he drove it to his home in texas from oklahoma with no issues and the truck now has a little over 1200 miles on it. Buying a classic for the wife does not always work out as planned so he decided to let the next lucky owner enjoy it... The body and paint on this ’50 are extremely high quality and is best described as show quality!!! The custom gray paint color is really a stunning color and the paint quality is show quality. This color is really hard to describe as it takes on different tones when it is in direct sunlight, shade, or under the bright lights of my showroom. It is a medium gray with a slight hint of green. There is a very small chip on the corner of the edge of the hood on the drivers side that we will touch up and there are some extremely tiny rock chips below the headlights that are barely noticeable. Otherwise, the paint and body really are close to flawless! This truck has a fantastic stance and has been slightly lowered but not enough to cause any issues for ordinary driving. All of the chrome looks awesome. Glass appears to all have been replaced and is nicely tinted. Bumpers are new and were tucked in about 4" for a cleaner look. The original fuel tank was moved from behind the seats to under the bed and these seats are set up nicely so that even the taller drivers will be very comfortable. Door panels and headliner to match and new carpeting all look great. The dash itself looks great and has the vintage look with original style gauges that are updated to include readouts for oil pressure, temperature, etc. And everything works. Turn signal indicator lights in dash with update turn signal lever on the column. Very comfortable grip on the updated steering wheel. Ice cold vintage a/c and heat neatly mounted in the dash with vents tucked under the dash for driver and passenger. Nice aftermarket am/fm/cd stereo with ipod/usb adaptor mounted under dash with speakers behind the seats and in the kick panels. Cool rear view mirror and all new knobs and door handles with bear claw door latches. The dash was also treated to a few nice pinstripe touches as well. Overall, the interior is as show ready as the body. The bed area is gorgeous as well with a fantastic light poplar wood that has been weather treated. Under the hood is a great, completely rebuilt 350 v8 with just a little over 1200 miles on it since the restoration. it was built to be a cruiser and horsepower is estimated at 275-300hp. Edelbrock aluminum intake and 4bbl carburetor with electric choke provide the fuel. Stock manifolds breathe out the dual exhaust that exits right behind the rear differential and has a soft tone as it was again built as a cruiser. Turbo 350 automatic transmission shifts nice and smooth. I was told it is a mustang ii front end with power rack and pinion steering. This truck stops with ease thanks to the power front disc brake set up with power booster neatly mounted along the frame. Rear end is a gm 10 bolt rear with highway friendly gears estimated to be 3. 08 or 3. 50 gears great for highway driving. The firewall was smoothed out for a really clean look under the hood. ice cold a/c and heat when needed! Complete new wiring from hot rod wiring. Fuel tank was neatly mounted under the bed. All of the leaf springs, shocks, and suspension components are new. Truck has been slightly lowered with a great stance. Brand new set of american racing torque thrust polished wheels wrapped in brand new set of bf goodrich g-force tires. The fronts are 17x7 225/45/17 and rears are 17x8's with 255/45/17 tires. I recently acquired this awesome 3100 from a guy on louisiana who bought it in 2012 after it had received a professional frame-off restoration. He was actually looking for a muscle car at the time but when he saw this truck he just had to have it. Well, after close to 4 years of owning it and putting less then 150 miles on it he realized that a muscle car with a back seat for the kids was what he really wanted. When the truck arrived the first thing i noticed was just how stunning the 3-stage white chocolate was in person. While this truck is absolutely stunning and is in near flawless condition it was not built to be a trailer queen. As with all of my inventory, i do have this '51 chevy listed on my website and several others. Sit back and enjoy!! As i mentioned, this '51 was restored a little over 4 years ago. This is an all steel body truck. The paint is outstanding and is what most people would consider show quality. I was told the paint job alone cost $9000 which is not difficult to believe. The body itself is amazingly straight and body panel fit is outstanding. Doors shut very nicely and do not stick out like so many on the market do. I do not see any obvious signs of rust repair in any of the typical spots on these trucks and it is clear that this was a professional restoration. All of the chrome and trim looks like new. Glass is all in excellent condition and was is nicely tinted. The oak wood bed looks amazing with a nice clear finish. Rear bumper was deleted in favor of a nice roll pan. I had a master pin-stripe artist, conways customs, come out and work his magic with just some subtle touches that help make this '51 pick up even more unique then it already was. I noticed a few tiny chips on the running boards that were touched up. The previous owner referred to it as california cowhide seating which leads me to believe it may be leather. Regardless, it looks awesome and is very comfortable. A removable center console sits in the middle of the bench seat offering the driver and passenger an arm rest, cup holders and a bit of storage. Awesome matching headliner and door panels add just enough color to brighten things up. Turn signals with indicators in the dash. Windshield wipers were upgraded to electric wipers. Well, no worries as this '51 runs and sounds as good as she looks. At the time of restoration a professionally built 350 v8 pushing out approximately 325 horsepower was dropped in under the hood. Although i do not have build specs it is obvious from the sweet sounding lope that there is a slight cam but nothing radical as it was built to be driven. At the same time a rebuilt turbo 350 automatic transmission was mated to the v8 and puts down traction through the 10 bolt rear end with nice, highway friendly gearing. Power steering tracks straight and true. Power 4 wheel disc brakes make stopping a breeze. Air Conditioning
